Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island Heading West
Spike Chunsoft announced that Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island, also known as Shiren the Wanderer 6, will be released in North America and Europe. The latest title in the Mystery Dungeon series, will game will release for Nintendo Switch in both regions on February 27, 2024, a month after its Japanese release. A physical edition is available to pre-order now, with first-print copies including a 2.75” x 3” sticker.
Shiren the Wanderer is part of the wider Mystery Dungeon franchise, which sees players adventuring through dungeons in a turn-based manner. While other Mystery Dungeon titles involve licenced crossovers, Shiren the Wanderer features original characters, including its eponymous ronin.
Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island sees Shiren and his trusted ferret companion Koppa adventure on the eponymous island, where is he joined by his friend Asuka and supported by innkeeper Suzuna. Each time Shiren enters one of the procedurally-generated dungeons he starts at level 1 with any gear and levels he obtains being lost if he collapses during exploration.
