Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Trailer Shows Its Gameplay Upgrades

CD Projekt RED released a new trailer for the upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion to Cyberpunk 2077. The three-minute “New Ways to Play” video highlights some of the gameplay additions and changes included in the expansion, which include redesigned cyberware options, redesigned character perks, a new relic skill tree, new weapons and vehicles, a new vehicular combat system, and revamped police. CD Projekt RED also confirmed that the new skill trees, vehicular combat, and police system will be added to the base game with its Update 2.0 patch launching for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S alongside the expansion.

Phantom Liberty features a spy-thriller tale as protagonist V becomes involved in a mission to save the President of the New United States of America. It sees V’s orbital shuttle getting shot down while over the Dogtown and features multiple new characters, including FIA sleeper agent Solomon Reed, played by Idris Elba. The expansion will release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 26, 2023.
