Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade Heading to Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo announced that Game Boy Advance tactical RPG Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade — released in the west simply as Fire Emblem — will be available on Nintendo Switch Online. The game will be available to those with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership from June 22, 2023.

Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade was the first Fire Emblem title to be released in English. It is a prequel to Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, which was released only in Japan and is also coming to the Nintendo Switch Online library in Japan, but not the west. The Blazing Blade is split into two main parts, with the player controlling an avatar tactician. The first part follows Lyn, a girl looking to reunite with her grandfather. The second part takes place a year later with friends Eliwood and Hector as a new adventure sees them trying to avert a full-scale war.
