Space Punks Open Beta Gets Major Update

Developer Flying Wild Hog released its first major update for the open beta of its free-to-play looter-shooter Space Punks. The “SpOiled One” update adds the dusty and oily planet Spor along with new missions. It also introduces a respawn mechanic to all existing game modes except for “the Crack”. Players will automatically respawn after a certain time if not revived by teammates. However, the timers will increase with each respawn and the mission will still fail if all players are knocked out at the same time. Full update notes are available on the game’s website.

Space Punks is a top-down looter-shooter set in an irreverent sci-fi setting, with players controlling one of four mercenaries seeking fame and money. The game features online co-op as players take on contracts across a range of planets. The open beta is available to play for free through the Epic Games Store, with paid Founders Packs available that grant access to additional content.
