Kingdom Hearts IV Announced

Square Enix made some new announcements during its 20th anniversary event for the Kingdom Hearts series. Chief among these is the reveal of Kingdom Hearts IV, the latest mainline title.

Kingdom Hearts IV is said to be the start of a new “Lost Master Arc” storyline. The trailer introduces a new location called the Quadratum, an expansive city set in a realistic-looking world. The video also features appearances from Sora’s regular companions Donald Duck and Goofy, as well as Strelitzia, a character in Kingdom Hearts Union χ. Neither platforms nor a release window have been announced for Kingdom Hearts IV.

The other new title announced is Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link. The spin-off is planned for release on iOS and Android, with a closed beta test coming later this year. Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link features an original story set in the realm of Scala ad Caelum, introduced in Kingdom Hearts III, and features action combat against the Heartless.

The final announcement is that the final chapter of the Kingdom Hears Dark Road storyline will be released in August 2022. The chapter will be available as a free update for the Kingdom Hearts Union χ Dark Road iOS and Android app.
