New Release Round-Up (July 22, 2021)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases.

Cris Tales

Cris Tales is billed as a love letter to classic JRPGs. The game features a strategic turn-based combat system and aims to let players look into the past, act in the present, and watch as those actions change the future by using protagonist Crisbell’s time-affecting abilities.

Death’s Door

Offbeat fantasy action RPG Death’s Door is set in a world where Crows are tasked with collecting the souls of the dead. However, the player’s assigned soul is stolen, requiring that they track down the thief across a realm without death where creatures continue to grow with greed and power.

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights

2D action RPG Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is set in a world where strange rain causes people to turn undead. The game stars Lily, the last surviving priestess, who awakens in a church with no knowledge of recent events. She explores the surroundings of her sanctuary to find the source of the rain, summoning purified undead to protect her.

Rogue Wizards

Rogue Wizards is a fantasy-themed roguelike, where players’ wizards explore randomly generated dungeons, battle Guild Wizard bosses, and collect powerful loot. Between dungeons, they can enhance and customise their own wizard tower, building up the town around it.

The Protagonist: EX-1

The Protagonist: EX-1 is a sci-fi tactical RPG where players take on the role of Angel, a highly trained special agent with advanced martial arts skills, on a mission to infiltrate an alien space station. After the mission goes wrong, Angel awakens in the infirmary with no memory of what happened and must traverse the alien ship, fighting waves of aliens with teammates Radical and Buddy to rescue the rest of her team.
