Genshin Impact Heading to PlayStation 5

Developer and publisher miHoYo confirmed that its open-world RPG Genshin Impact is heading to the PlayStation 5 “soon.” The game originally released in 2020 for iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, and PC, and is currently available for PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility. A Nintendo Switch version was also announced but currently has no release date. The new version will feature enhanced visuals and gameplay. Genshin Impact is a free-to-play RPG set in the world of Teyvat. Players begin the game by picking between a male and female character known as the Traveler, a mysterious youth who is searching for their lost sibling. Players are currently able to explore two of the seven major cities in Teyvat, Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor. More cities and areas will be released as the game progresses.
