Tangledeep Releasing on Switch Next Week

Impact Gameworks has announced that its roguelike dungeon-crawler Tangledeep will be released on Nintendo Switch on January 31, 2019. The Switch version features new controls as well as a new UI with a ring-based menu, new monsters, and a new starting area. The game supports handheld and docked modes, plus the Nintendo Switch Pro controller.

Tangledeep looks to combine 16-bit graphics with roguelike gameplay and was originally released for PC, Mac, and Linux in 2018. The game sees players setting out from the underground village to try and reach the planet’s long-forgotten surface, going through the titular labyrinthine Tangledeep in the process. Players have access to twelve job classes, and an Adventure Mode that removes permadeath.
