The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- Switch Digital Pre-Orders Open, Demo Coming Soon

XSEED Games announced that digital pre-orders have begun for the Nintendo Switch version of The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-. The game is available in a $59.99 standard edition and a $69.99 Digital Deluxe Edition that includes a digital art book and digital soundtrack. All digital pre-orders will also receive a digital copy of tie-in novel Former Lives of the SDU: File 03 – Hiruko Shizuhara’s First Battle.

The publisher also announced that a demo will soon be available on Nintendo Switch. The “Prologue” demo — currently available on PC — lets players go through the first seven in-game days at the Last Defense Academy, with progress able to be transferred to the full game.

The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- is a new title from Kazutaka Kodaka and Kotaro Uchikoshi, the creators of the Danganronpa and Zero Escape series respectively, and combines adventure elements with strategy RPG combat. The game sees supposedly unremarkable student Takumi Sumino forced to transfer to the eponymous Last Defense Academy. Between battles, players can explore the school and deepen their bonds with classmates, while the story will feature numerous choices for Takumi that can lead to different endings.
