Tales of Autumn Coming to Nintendo Switch This Month

Publisher Hidden Stag Games is partnering with developer RedDeer.Games to release farming sim RPG Tales of Autumn on Nintendo Switch. The title will launch for the console on March 20, 2025. The announcement came with a minute-long trailer that shows snippets of gameplay.

Initially released for PC (via Steam) in 2023, Tales of Autumn puts the player in the role of a rancher who just arrives at the town of Autumn. They are tasked with building and managing their own farm while restoring the balance between the town and the magical creatures that used to live nearby.

Players can raise mythical beasts such as jackalopes and manticores, each of them having their own needs (food, biomes, and special conditions) and characteristics. The player’s farm also needs to fulfill specific requirements to grow certain crops. Players can build relationships with townspeople by fulfilling requests, making small narrative choices, and taking part in seasonal events. A good relationship with locales yields gifts, discounts in certain shops, and assistance, while a bad relationship prevents players from accessing certain services and features.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
