Songs of Conquest Fully Released on PC

Songs of Conquest has been fully released on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store after two years of Early Access. The game releases on PC and Mac with full gamepad compatibility for all versions, as well as Steam Deck support. To celebrate the game’s official release it will be discounted at 20% until May 27, 2024.

The strategy RPG is made by developer Lavapotion, which was founded in 2017 and, published by Coffee Stain. It is also set to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in fall 2024.

The full release sees an update in enemy AI, changes to siege battles, the introduction of multiple turns in battle, and the addition of a random map generator and challenge maps. There have also been significant changes to the game’s single player campaign, with all factions seeing an update from their initial Early Access releases. The faction containing the most significant changes in the update is the Barony of Loth faction.

Songs of Conquest has four different campaigns for players to experience, focusing on different nations. Arleon is a nation where those who are strong thrive, with its peasants rebelling against the knights who have joined with a mythical race known as Faey. Barya is a state without law after separating themselves from the empire. It is divided into independent merchant states where contracts made with merchants replace the law. Rana is inhabited by a race of swamp dwellers who have a history of being enslaved, finding the strength to rise with the arrival of “The Wielder”. Finally, the declining Barony of Loth seeks to find strength once again with the discovery of Oathbound legions.
