New Release Round-Up (May 9, 2024)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.

Adventure Bar Story

Simulation RPG Adventure Bar Story puts players in charge of an adventurer tavern, with players hunting ingredients from monsters while upgrading their tavern and unlocking more recipes. It is set in Kamerina’s Bar, a tavern that has caught the attention of Gustav, a rich and powerful restaurant owner who seeks to own the bar by any means necessary. The only way to prevent the hostile takeover is by making it the most popular bar.

Cryptmaster

Cryptmaster is billed as a bizarre dungeon adventure built on word-based actions. Players must guide four brave heroes, who have been resurrected after giving up their lives to defeat a great evil, as they seek to recover their memories. The game sees players typing or speaking words to uncover abilities, complete quests, and solve puzzles.

King Arthur: Legion IX

Dark fantasy turn-based tactical RPG King Arthur: Legion IX was originally announced as an expansion to King Arthur: Knight’s Tale. Players take on the role of Gaius Julius Mento, the leader of the Ninth Legion of Rome. Gifted a demon army by the deceased emperor, Septimus Sulla, to escape Tartarus, Gaius stumbles upon the magical realm of the Lady of the Lake. He then proceeds to find his lost army, aiming to conquer the island and establish Eternal Rome.

Plushie from the Sky

Plushie from the Sky is a goofy but challenging action RPG starring a young angel armed with a large plushie. As she adventures through the fantasy world she encounters various corrupted monsters she must defeat using a selection of dodge, block, and parry abilities.
