Necro Story Reveals More of its Necromancy

Independent developer Rablo Games announced that its RPG Necro Story will be part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest. The title follows the adventures of Jaimus, a presumably evil necromancer aided by a mischevious ghost called Vivi in his quest to save the world. The game is billed as a lighthearted experience that explores the dark themes of necromancy with a playful tone.

Players engage in real-time battles, with a party counting up to nine members. They can summon undead to assist them in battle and grow their ranks by recruiting the souls of defeated enemies. The player has access to five schools of magic and there are over twenty spells to use, each with their own skill tree.

Necro Story is currently in development for PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with September 2024 as release window. A demo version of the game is currently available on its Steam page.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly become obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as more as gameplay. Now, I am, writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
