Front Mission 2: Remake Launching in June

Forever Entertainment announced that Front Mission 2: Remake, its remake of the second game in the Front Mission mecha tactical RPG series, will release worldwide on June 12, 2023. The remake will be available for Nintendo Switch and support English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Polish, Chinese, and Japanese language options. It includes improved loading speeds, a new free camera option, new wanzer colouring options, and a refreshed soundtrack.

Front Mission 2: Remake follows the release last year of Front Mission 1st: Remake, with a remake of Front Mission 3 also in development. Front Mission 2 was originally released for PlayStation in Japan in 1997, but did not receive an English release. It takes place twelve years after the events of the first in an alternate future where mechas called wanzers are the primary tools of conflict. It sees the army of the People’s Republic of Alordesh rise up following a severe economic decline, declaring independence from the Ocean Cooperative Union. The game follows the perspectives of three different characters: Ash, Lisa, and Thomas.
