Fire Emblem Engage Gives Welcome to the Somniel

Nintendo released an English version of its latest trailer for tactical RPG Fire Emblem Engage. The seven-minute “Welcome to the Somniel” video details the Somniel floating fortress that acts as the player’s base in the game, where they can prepare for combat, bond with their allies, and more. New elements include interacting with Emblem rings by inheriting skills from or polishing them, a farmyard, and customisable outfits.

The latest game in the long-running series, Fire Emblem Engage is planned to release for Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023. The game takes place on the continent of Elyos where a thousand years ago, four kingdoms worked with heroes from other worlds to defeat and seal the Fell Dragon. However, that seal is weakening with the Fell Dragon about to reawaken. Players control a Divine Dragon and aim to collect Emblem Rings in order to restore peace to the land.
