Fire Emblem Engage Trailer Highlights Emblem Rings

Update [11/23] — Nintendo has now released an English version of the trailer, which can be viewed below.

Nintendo released a new Japanese gameplay trailer for Fire Emblem Engage. The five-minute video highlights the Emblem Rings, which let their wearers summon heroes from other worlds in the series. The rings grant their wearer boosted stats and new abilities, as well as letting them “engage” to combine their strength and unlock unique attacks.

The latest game in the long-running tactical RPG series, Fire Emblem Engage is planned to release for Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023. The game takes place on the continent of Elyos. A thousand years ago, four kingdoms worked with heroes from other worlds to defeat and seal the Fell Dragon. However, that seal is weakening with the Fell Dragon about to reawaken. Players control a Divine Dragon and aim to collect Emblem Rings in order to restore peace to the land.
