RPGCast – Episode 484: “Massassin’s Creed”

Chris and Pascal fail at tactics. Josh gets some bartending skills. And actually that’s it. Except for our new game coming to the Epic Games Store! No not really, but we were feeling left out.

Question of the Week
What is your most disappointing game of the year?

The World Ends With You: Final Remix, because the only profanity that should be used in the context of the game is swearing at Joshua instead of the TV controls.

My pick for most disappointing game of the year, and probably of the decade, is World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.

Battle for Azeroth is certainly not the worst game of year, but World of Warcraft: Legion was so much fun that BfA’s horrible story and tediously grindy gameplay were a soul-crushing follow-up.

I don’t even want to log into WoW for my weekly shot at mounts from old raids anymore.

Most disappointing game of 2018…have to go with Ni No Kuni 2. Preferred the combat system in the original game and found the story in this sequel to be underwhelming. Biggest flaw was NNK 2’s lack of challenge. I do need to go back and try the game again now that a Hard mode option has been patched in, but the launch release lacked any need for strategy and the repetitive button mashing caused me to lose interest quickly.
