Dicefolk Switch Date Announced

Developers LEAP Game Studios and Tiny Ghoul, along with publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment, have announced that the tactical roguelike Dicefolk will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch on June 20, 2024. The game is available for pre-order on the Nintendo eShop at 20% off its regular price of $14.99 until June 19, 2024. It was originally released for PC via Steam on February 27, 2024.

Dicefolk is set in a world on the verge of destruction at the hands of the sorcerer Salem, where players take on the role of Alea, a young hero with the ability to command creatures called Chimera. Players will be able to build a team of over 100 unique Chimera on their quest to defeat Salem. Each Chimera has its own set of abilities and strategies, such as strong tank types and speedy agility types. Dice customization affects the control players have over Chimera’s attacks and abilities. Every playthrough offers a new challenge, as the Chimera encountered in each run will differ from the previous ones, requiring players to adopt new strategies.

I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2.
