Wizardry: The Five Ordeals Coming to Early Access in June

Developer 59 Studio and publisher Game*Spark Publishing have announced that Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is coming to Steam Early Access on June 18, 2021, for PC. The Early Access version will be fully playable, with all official scenarios included, and most of the game’s user-generated scenarios also believed to be playable, but not yet fully tested. The game is estimated to spend around a year in Early Access, during which the developers will work on implementing English language support, bug fixes, UI adjustments, and improvements to the scenario editor.

Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is a rerelease of 2006 Japan-exclusive Wizardry Gaiden: Five Ordeals, originally released under the moniker Itsutsu no Shiren. One of the game’s key features is its scenario editor, allowing players to create their own scenarios as well as download others’. It also allows for users to create their own in-game monsters by importing image data into the game.
