Hades Gets Long Winter Update

Supergiant Games has released the newest update for its Early Access title Hades. Titled “The Long Winter,” the update adds in the goddess Demeter as she brings winter to the underworld. In addition to her new boons, the update adds a new weapon variant, new items, more weapon upgrades, and hours of new story events. The update also brings the Rod of Fishing, which allows players to catch whatever they can in the rivers to sell later. A full list of additions and changes can be found here.

Hades is a rogue-like action RPG that has players take on the role of the Prince of the Underworld as he attempts to escape Hades. Each run of the game offers opportunities for unique story events and builds as players interact with gods like Zeus, Athena, and Poseidon. Permanent upgrades can also be obtained, making future runs easier.
