Warhammer: Chaosbane Endgame, DLC Detailed

Bigben Interactive and Eko Software have revealed details for the endgame modes in the upcoming action RPG Warhammer: Chaosbane. The companies also revealed some of the free and paid updates that will be released after the game’s launch.

After players have completed the main quest once, they will be able to restart with a new character and retain everything that has been previously unlocked, including crafting options and any money obtained. Completing the main quest will also unlock new modes: expedition mode, which is designed for quick games using randomly-generated areas; relic hunt, where players purchase a map to access dungeons and collect rare gear; and a boss rush against the main campaign’s bosses.

The first post-launch update will be available for free and add both a new difficulty setting and new equipment. Further free updates will include a permanent death mode, further difficulty levels, and an increase to the maximum character level. Meanwhile, paid DLC will be available as part of the game’s Season Pass. The first piece of paid DLC will include new emotes and a passive skill to help find heroic items. The second will add a new passive skill for finding God fragments as well as alternative skill trees for each character. The third will add new companions for the playable characters, and the final piece will add a new story act separate from the main campaign, where players aim to defeat an ancient undead evil.

Warhammer: Chaosbane is set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe and sees players control one of four characters, visiting various iconic locations from the setting during the campaign. The game will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 4, 2019, with those who order the Magnus and Digital Deluxe Editions receiving early access on May 31, 2019.
