And so it begins. . .

Told you the Saving Throw would return this week.

That said, this Saving Throw is a short one; RPGamer has me busy on another project this week which you should see shortly. Thus, I give you this week's one and only submission: Nostrum returns to tell us of his first roleplaying experience and how he failed to listen to the advice of more experienced roleplayers. As this is an embarrassing moment, I give Nostrum a golden caret for being a good enough sport to share it with us this week, especially since this moment is featured this week.

So, here you go, Nostrum: ^

Now, onto this brief column...

Burning Empires, a tabletop RPG based on the setting of the Iron Empires comic series with the Burning Wheel RPG system as its core. And so it ends. . .

Be sure to make your submissions, and I'll return next week with a longer, fuller column. A Saving Throw contest will also being coming as soon as we can work out a good prize or prizes; most of the other details have already been worked out. It may launch as early as next week should things go well, but probably sometime in June at the latest.
