   As with the first Pathfinder adventure path, the second adventure path, Curse of the Crimson Throne, includes a player's guide to familarize players with the setting. This player's guide features an overview of the city of Korvosa, its history, peoples and districts. Also included is information on the types of adventurers that are likely found in the city, as well as how characters of the different classes fit in.

The guide also includes three new feats related to Korvosa and eight pieces of equipment players are likely to encounter on the streets of Korvosa. It contains details for six weapons and two new types of armor. A section on the traits of Korvosa's citizens helps round out characters.

Finally, the guide includes two maps, one of Korvosa proper and one of the surrounding region of Varisia to help players familiarize themselves with the city and region. Players using the guide will be well prepared for the hazards that are present in the Curse of the Crimson Throne adventure path.
