Stardew Valley's Multiplayer, Vita Version Updates Provided

Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley developer ConcernedApe recently posted an update regarding various forthcoming things about the farming sim. Firstly, the developer stated that its planned free multiplayer update has been pushed back a bit. A beta was planned for release by the end of 2017, but that will now happen in Q1 2018 instead. The multiplayer will also come with new content, with the developer sharing a couple of images indicating an aquatic theme.

In addition to the multiplayer status update, ConcernedApe also addressed the PlayStation Vita version announced in January 2017. That version is still planned for release sometime in 2018, and it will be Cross-Buy with the PlayStation 4 version so all those who have purchased the PlayStation 4 version will be able to download the Vita version at no extra cost.  The developer did note that the multiplayer update will not be coming to PlayStation Vita.

Stardew Valley was originally released for PC in early 2016, and has since also been released for Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with the aforementioned Vita release planned for 2018. The sandbox farming sim sees players taking over the grandfather's old farm, spending their time interacting with NPCs, planting crops, exploring caves, fishing, etc.
