N7 Day is a community day held by BioWare on November 7 dedicated to the Mass Effect series. This year, the developer used it to reveal more media and details for the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda. Firstly, a new cinematic trailer is now available and can be viewed below.
Also revealed were some collector's bundles for the game. There are two variants of the "Nomad Collector's Bundle". The Nomad RC Vehicle features a remote-controlled version of the game's Nomad vehicle at 1:18 scale as well as a SteelBook case, and costs $199.99 without the game included. Meanwhile the Nomad Die Cast Model features a die cast metal body model of the same vehicle, again at a 1:18 and also including a SteelBook case. This version costs $99.99 without a copy of the game. There are also three other editions of the game, offering different selections of digital bonuses.
Mass Effect: Andromeda constitutes a new start for the Mass Effect series. The game takes place around six centuries after the original trilogy, in the previously unvisited Andromeda galaxy. Players control one of two siblings, the offspring of "Patherfinder" Alec Ryder, who were all selected to join a special project aimed at colonising targeted planets in the galaxy once the four ark ships finally end their 600-year journey.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in spring 2017. Those interested can learn more about the backstory for the game and setting through the Andromedia Initiative website, which will be further updated in the coming months.
