Bandai Namco has released new details for its upcoming tactical RPG, Summon Night 6: Lost Borders, including some returning series staple systems. One such system will allow players to call upon Summoned Beasts to assist in battle by collecting Summonite Stones. Some of the Summoned Beasts can be used as allied Summon Units. Additionally, Summon Arts may be powered up by being close to allies and using their MP to strengthen the ability.
There is also a system that allows characters to combine their powers to perform Summon Bursts, which create special Summoned Beasts depending on which arts are used as well as whether the characters are warrior or summoner types. With high rank Summonite Stones and high favorability between characters, stronger beasts can be summoned. There are special beasts that can only be summoned under special conditions.
Also introduced are several characters. Amer is a saint dubbed the "Angel of Abundance" who was summoned to another world and separated from her friend Magna. She sets out to find Magna along with Kyle and Resi. Kyle is the boss of a pirate family and is himself searching for a lost companion. Resi is a young boy from the beast world of Metral who lost most of his power and now does household chores.
Next are Toris and her friends Bullrel and Nesty. Toris is from the Kressment family, producers of summon weapons. Bullrel is a demon king who lost most of his power. Nesty comes from the machine world and is Toris's teacher. They were separated when summoned to this world.
