Nippon Ichi Software has released three trailers for Disgaea 5 for PlayStation 4, the next installment in the Disgaea franchise. The first trailer is a sample of the game's soundtrack, which is once again composed by Tenpei Sato. The trailer also displays character art of Killia, Seraphine, and Usalia, the game's main characters.
The second trailer introduces two new characters to join this trio: Christo, whose mission is to assassinate Void Dark, the main antagonist of the game; and Zeroken, a martial artist who plans to single-handedly take out Lost, a demonic army.
The third trailer provides a glimpse of the new Revenge system. Revenge Mode can be activated once the gauge next to a character's portrait has been filled, allowing them to use special attacks. Seraphine's technique, shown at around the 2:25 mark, charms nearby enemies into attacking one another.
Disgaea 5 is scheduled for release on March 26, 2015 in Japan. A Western release date has yet to be announced, although it has been confirmed that the game will be released in North America and Europe by NIS America.
