Today, Zeboyd Games has launched a Kickstarter for its newest game, Cosmic Star Heroine. The project (viewable here) is asking for $100,000 to fund the game's late 2014 release on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Vita. Going to Kickstarter allows Zeboyd the funding to take their time developing the game and to once again bring on HyperDuck SoundWorks to compose the soundtrack.
Unlike most other Kickstarters of late, the team at Zeboyd Games is not listing stretch goals. The team is simply aiming for a modest goal for a game project and will likely use any extra money to work on free post-release DLC similar to what was seen Cthulhu Saves the World and Precipice of Darkness 3. One example given is a sci-fi take on Lufia 2's Ancient Cave, but nothing has been confirmed on this front. If this sounds interesting, check out the project page for more details about the world and ten of the playable characters in this turn-based, sci-fi, Japanese-style RPG.
