Paradox Interactive has announced a new expansion for its multiplayer-focused RPG Magicka. Previous expansions took players to some unexpected places, but Magicka: The Stars Are Left will probably be the least sane chapter of the game to date. This expansion focuses on a new adventure campaign inspired by H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos, which will certainly lead to some unusual escapades. Even people who don't own the new expansion will be able to join the insanity, as each multiplayer group only needs the host to own a copy in order to play through it together.
In addition to the new adventure, the expansion includes new challenge maps, robes, enemies, items, spells, and achievements. It also promises to expand the game's repertoire of jokes and parodies, as the creators proudly announced new Minecraft-based humor right alongside the additions listed above. A trailer was also included in the announcement, but it is only a short teaser that shows no gameplay.
