A new title in the Elder Scrolls series to follow Bethesda's Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is practically a given, though nothing has been officially announced or confirmed yet. Author Greg Keyes' new book may have not only confirmed a new Elder Scrolls title, but also given an idea of the game's setting.
As spotted by Kotaku, a book blurb for Greg Keyes' upcoming book The Elder Scrolls: Infernal City read: "A novel that takes places forty-five years after the Oblivion Crisis, which is the story of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion game and the expansion pack Shivering Isles. It partly bridges the gap for the next game, which is set 200 years after the Oblivion crisis." This blurb was apparently changed after it was discovered on book's Waterstone's listing. An official announcement is the only way that an upcoming title is ever truly confirmed, but this could be an unintended clue towards what Bethesda might have in the works.
