New extras in Chrono Trigger DS are still popping up. Famitsu is reporting that the game will not only have new dungeons and a monster arena mode, but also a brand new additional ending and character mode. Two screenshots of the new ending are available here, which are vague, but those looking to avoid spoilers may want to skip viewing them for now. Presumably, the new ending involves the story threads woven in one of the new dungeons. This will bring the total number of endings in Chrono Trigger DS to at least 14, including the new ending.
Further, a new character mode will be available, where players can view the game's animated cutscenes, listen to the game's music, view monster data, and use a treasure map. North American RPGamers will be able to experience these new features when Chrono Trigger DS is released on November 25, 2008.
