Square Enix has finally announced that Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors will be hitting North American shelves on February 26 of next year. Announced right alongside the Wii, the game will fully take advantage of the Wii remote's motion-sensing capabilities.
The game takes place in the kingdom of Avalonia five years after Deathbringer was defeated. The people have been enjoying what they believed to be never-ending peace, but strange monsters have begun to show up on the edges of the town. By taking up the Wii remote and Nunchuck, players will attempt to uncover the mysteries of Avalonia, discover why the queen is hiding her face behind a strange mask, and bring peace back to the land.
The North American release will have special features not found in the Japanese release. These include a "Payback Mode" and four hidden bosses.
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors has been rated T for Teen by the ESRB and has an MSRP of $49.99. Stay tuned to RPGamer for news and the eventual review in the coming months.
