America will soon be able to venture into the all-new land of Sinnoh and join Japanese players on the quest to catch 'em all! Pokémon Diamond and Pearl offers gamers a multitude of new features, as well as a few returning ones, like the choice to play as a boy or girl trainer. The story once again pits the hero(ine) against the evil plots of Team Galactic as the trainer strives to become the Pokémon League Champion.
The first game to take advantage of the DS's local wireless capabilities, up to eight trainers can play and trade with each other at once. Gamers will also be able to trade their pokémon from the GBA games to Diamond and Pearl. Along with over a hundred new pokémon to catch, gamers will be able to catch Munchlax and Waeavile for the first time.
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl received an E rating from the ESRB, and will be released on the 22nd of April. A special stylus featuring pokémon from the new game will be available for when the game is pre-ordered through select retailers.
