Konami Digital Entertainment America has shipped its latest action RPG, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for the Nintendo DS, to North American retailers today. The game picks up where its Game Boy Advance predecessor, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow left off with hero Soma Cruz once again in trouble with the followers of the vanquished Count Dracula.
The game blends a classic action RPG combat style with new features tailored to the abilities of the Nintendo DS. Players will be able to draw magical seals on the DS's touch screen to trap evil spirits. The soul collection system from Aria of Sorrow returns, and Konami promises even more souls this time around with players able to use the DS's wireless abilities to trade souls with other players and engage in a Versus mode.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow ships with a suggested retail price of $34.99 and an ESRB rating of T for Teen.
