Sony has announced that its upcoming PlayStation 2 RPG, Arc the Lad: Seirei no Tasogare, will have not one but two main characters. Sony had already announced Kharg, the gaurdian of a country. Kharg will represent the human world, and his quest will center on his mission to protect the Spirit Stones, which provide light and energy to the world, from the ambitions of another kingdom which is already attacking the airships of Kharg's country. Along the way, Kharg will meet a foreigner named Lilia.
Darc, on the other hand, will represent the Devil world. Darc's mission is to locate the aforementioned Spirit Stones and therefore give great power to the Devils. While injured in a forest, Darc will meet with Lilia, who cures his wounds. From this point on, Darc begins to have feelings for Lilia, and his previous hatred of humans begins to change.
It was not clear whether these quests will be seperate, or if the stories will unfold concurrently. Sony plans to release Arc the Lad: Seirei no Tasogare soon, but its previous Fall 2002 release date is obviously not going to be met. No word from Sony on if the game will see a release outside of Japan. Be sure to check out or complete coverage here, and stay with RPGamer for all your RPG news.
