Namco's character Klonoa has previously appeared in classic 2-D platformers for the Game Boy, PlayStation and PlayStation 2, but now it seems that the lovable, floppy-eared hero has decided to do something with his life. Klonoa Heroes: Legend of the Star Medal is a new action-RPG for the Game Boy Advance.
The game takes place from a top view perspective and features familiar characters from the series. According to Namco, Klonoa will be able to equip several weapons (or transform his magic ring into different weapons) and will be highly customizable when it comes to leveling up. Clearly, this is a game targeted to a younger audience, and Namco has already tapped into that pool. They held an art contest in Japan to see who could come up with the most interesting boss character, and second grader Haya Sato came up with Nightmare.
Klonoa's charm is hard to resist, and hopefully Namco doesn't resist the temptation to release this game stateside.
