If someone suggested a premise for a game to you that had Beelzebub starring as a cute character that has inhabited your shadow, you might think that they were a little off their rocker. So it was with some amusement that gamers took note of Sony's plans to release just such a game. And then they waited. Well, the time for waiting is done, and the end-result, Okage: The Shadow King, is available across North America right now.
According to SCEA's Ami Blaire, Okage will appeal to, "both traditional RPG fans and action-adventure enthusiasts with its innovative design, creative plot and unique graphical look. Featuring a captivating storyline, twenty beautifully-rendered environments, six extraordinary, entertaining characters and hours of immersive gameplay, Okage truly showcases the capabilities of PlayStation 2."
Fans of quirky RPGs should keep an eye out for this one. Check back with us later in the week for RPGamer's full review of the game. In the meantime, get an idea of what the game is all about by checking out our Okage: The Shadow King page.
