Akupara Games announced a release date for The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor, the console version of Puuba's rhythm RPG. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 on August 29, 2017 and on Xbox One on August 30, 2017, priced at $19.99. To celebrate the announcement, the publisher put out a new live-action trailer.
The Metronomicon's story mode puts players in control of a party of new masters of the "rhythmic combat arts". Four members are in combat at any one time, with players freely switching between the characters' various rhythm tracks to activate various abilities and spells. The game's soundtrack features tracks from an assortment of electronic, synthwave, and chiptune artists.
