Koei Tecmo revealed its plans for next week's Tokyo Game Show, in the process confirming western releases for a selection of titles. The three RPGs that are now confirmed for western releases are Toukiden 2, Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey, and Nights of Azure 2. Toukiden 2 will be released in early 2017, but the other two titles have not been given expected release periods at this time.
Toukiden 2 is a sequel to action RPG Toukiden: The Age of Demons and its enhanced release Toukiden Kiwami. The game moves towards a more open-world structure than its predecessors and was released in Japan in July 2016 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Atelier Firis is the second in the Mysterious subseries of Gust's alchemy franchise, following Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book. Atelier Firis is set for release in Japan on September 29, 2016, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Finally, Nights of Azure 2 is a spiritual sequel to action RPG Nights of Azure, which was released earlier this year. Nights of Azure 2 is being developed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita with a Japanese release set for December 22, 2016.
