Aksys Games announced that it will release Arc System Works' Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs in North America on September 20, 2016. The game will be released physically and digital for PlayStation 4, with digital-only releases on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
Daybreak Special Gigs is an enhanced version of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita title, Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters, which was released in North America and Europe in 2015. In the game, players control a high school student that joins Gate Keepers, a small private company that investigates and resolves supernatural events.
The enhanced version offers five new story episodes (on top of the original thirteen), new characters, and new costumes. It also features upgraded visuals and a revamped combat system. Those wishing to learn more about the original game can check out RPGamer's review as well as an interview with Aksys Games' Localization Editor Karen McOscar.
Update — NIS America has announced that it will be releasing the game in Europe. Like in North America, the game will be released physically for PlayStation 4 and digitally for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Its European release date is one month after North America's, on October 21, 2016.
