Some more information is now available for the latest title in the Summon Night series, Summon Night 6: Lost Borders, along with the first media for the game. It is now known that the game's developer is Media.Vision, which is most recently known for creating the Chaos Rings series and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. Media.Vision is working on the game with cooperation from Felistella, which worked on the previous title Summon Night 5.
Summon Night 6 is set on the world of Fillujah, which is wrapped in a barrier and where various things, including food, fall from the sky. A mysterious being said to be from the world of Lyndbaum, where preivous games in the series are set, appears to the game's hero with the story set to explore the relationship between the two worlds. As with the previous title in the series, Summon Night 6 features two protagonists that players can choose between at the start of the game. The male protagonist is named Raj and is said to be a cheerful adventurer, while the female protagonist is named Amu and acts as a lone sniper.
Summon Night 6 is set to be released in Japan in Spring 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Its predecessor, Summon Night 5, is being localised by Gaijinworks for release on PlayStation Portable, with Vita-compatibility via purchasing the game on the PlayStation Network, later this year.
