Although the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, is almost upon us, the servers for Demon's Souls will remain in operation for a little while longer. Atlus, the North American publisher of the From Software developed title, has commented that, while the servers will eventually be shut down, they will remain in operation into 2012. To reward loyal fans, Atlus will be running a series of world tendency events during the holiday season.

Atlus has also announced a reduction of the MSRP of Demon's Souls to $20. Further information about the world tendency events will be announced at a later date.
