Atlus USA has announced plans to localize the Bandai Namco RPG Poison Pink, rebranding it Eternal Poison in the process. The game is set in a dark fantasy world called Alea, whose central kingdom Valdia is run by a dominating church.
Years ago the church drove out followers of the Stag religion, which kept many gods, and now follows only the goddess Altona. Now, with its princess captured, the kingdom has dispatched groups of adventurers to venture deep into the Majin realm Besek, in search of the mysterious trinket known as the eternal poison. What exactly the eternal poison does is unclear, but it is agreed by all that it is a relic of considerable power.
Gamers will choose from five different parties and venture into Besek. Players fill out their roster by capturing demons; even bosses are not immune to capture, and with a branching storyline and many optional encounter, there is no shortage of those.
Atlus expects to release Eternal Poison on November 11, 2008. The game has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
