Shiren The Wanderer 3 has been announced for the Nintendo Wii. The game is being developed by Chunsoft and published by Sega. Shiren will feature 60 monsters with 30 of them being brand new to the series. The game will also contain well over 30 different dungeon types.
One of the other new features to the game is the addition of an item upgrade system. Within certain dungeons players will be able to place items in special storage units. Over time the items stored will upgrade and may even morph into something completely different.
Shiren 3's story takes place after Shiren The Wanderer GB 2. Shiren and Asuka both return, along with a new character called Sensei, Shiren's master. The story will be presented through a large amount of cutscenes. Like with many games on the Wii, these cutscenes will not support voice acting.
After some experimentation, Chunsoft has decided to use standard analog controls. While the game will not be waggle friendly, there is still the choice of using the Wii Remote, or the Nunchuck and Wii Remote together to control the game.
Shiren The Wander 3 is set to release in Japan in 2008. For a look at some brand new propaganda of the game click here.
