Sword of the New World: Granado Espada has now become free to play. Previously, paying players had unlimited and unrestricted access to the game and its features, whilst free players were restricted to level twenty, beyond which no further items or experience could be gained. As of August 21, that system is history. Now, everyone can play for free without level/trade restrictions and time limits. Progression beyond level 100 still requires the purchase of a cash market item, however.
The cash market system by which a player may purchase in-game items with real money, similar to that seen in many other Korean internet games such as Gunbound, remains. Because it will now be the chief source of profit, expect the market to see significant expansion in the weeks to come. Stay tuned for RPGamer's soon-to-be-available comprehensive review!
