Fans of the little guy in blue can get their fix today with the release of Mega Man Star Force for the Nintendo DS. The game, which represents the beginning of a new series in the franchise, is available in three versions: Pegasus, Leo, and Dragon.
"Mega Man is one of the gaming industry's most iconic franchises and the series continues to evolve," said Capcom Entertainment's director of brand marketing, Jack Symon. "Mega Man Star Force kicks off a new, innovative series in three versions, offering fans even more ways to enjoy their favorite blue hero."
Set in the distant future, players will take on the role of Geo Stelar, a young boy who finds himself faced with the task of fighting off a mysterious enemy from the distant planet FM. With the help of his new ally Omega-Xis, he is able to transform into Mega Man and fight the aliens of FM in the virtual "Wave World." Players will switch between the futuristic real world and between the virtual world with fast-paced battles using a customizable deck of Battle Cards.
Mega Man Star Force is rated "E" for everyone. It's now available for purchase at a suggested retail price of $29.95.
