New characters have joined Level 5's SRPG Jeanne d'Arc, and information regarding the skill system has come to light as well. Jeanne's magnetic personality drives others to follow her, such as the lion-man La'lle. La'lle is a soldier and quite proud of his strength, and despite being a demi-human, Jeanne treats him as an equal. Moved by her attitude, he decided to join her troop. Also, Rufus, a shy and quiet dog-man, follows Jeanne simply because he adores her, unsurprising given Jeanne's charismatic nature.
Regarding the skill system, Jeanne d'Arc's character development centers on "skill stones." Characters equip up to six of these skill stones, which enemies drop after battle. Skill stones come in four varieties, each imparting a different bonus: red for special attacks, green for magic, purple for beneficial status, and blue for stat boosts. Some skill stones have level requirements, while some can even be fused to make new ones.
Jeanne d'Arc is scheduled for release in Japan in the first quarter of 2007. No information regarding a North American release has yet been announced.
