Atlus recently opened the official site for its upcoming Nintendo DS RPG, Contact. Contact tells the story of Terry, an "unfortunately average" boy, and the Professor, a traveler from outer space who picked up Terry in his ship and then crashed on a distant planet, stranding them both. Breaking the fourth wall, the player is officially the main character and acts as a bridge between the Professor and Terry.
The site has a great deal of information on the story and characters (including the player), all written in a light-hearted manner that parallels the game's mood. There are also details on Contact's gameplay and use of the DS's Wi-Fi capabilities. Additional areas offer downloadable wallpaper, message forums, and personal messages from director Akira Ueda and producer Takeshi Ogura.
Contact was released in Japan in March 2006 and will be released in North America in October. Development of a sequel has already been announced.
