  • Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth - A PSP port of the original Valkyrie Profile that was on the Playstation (PS) in 2000. The game includes the same gameplay as the original and includes new cinematics not available on the PS version. It was released on July 18.
  • Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII - Vincent Valentine, the red-cloaked gunslinger from Final Fantasy VII returns in an action-RPG on the Playstation 2 (PS2). The North American release will include new and more quickly paced missions and a retooled camera. The game will be released on August 15.
  • Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime - Nintendo DS players get to look forward to a Dragon Quest title that involves tank battles and the rescue of 100 slimes. Rocket Slime features Wireless DS Multi-Card action where up to 4 players get to duke it out or if four is not enough, a DS Single-Card Download play is available that allows up to 16. The game is set for release on September 19.
  • Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria - SE revealed no new information about the upcoming PS2 prequel to Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, except the release date notably moved from the previously announced November to September 26.
  • "This summer, Square Enix is releasing titles that will truly appeal to all audiences," said Daishiro Okada, president of Square Enix. "The line-up brings new titles for some of Square Enix's beloved series with games for casual and young gamers, as well as gamers 'on the go,' the revival of a cult hit, a new take on a renowned franchise and the ability to play together. We're excited about providing entertainment that will bring in new fans as well as delight our existing ones."
