A second installment to Baten Kaitos, Baten Katos II, has been announced for the Nintendo GameCube. Rather than being a sequel, this one is actually set 20 years before the events of the original. The game will feature a cast of mostly new characters, including a new hero and heroine, Sagi and Millie, with a few familiar faces will also showing up.

At this point, little is known about the story, but it is known that Sagi is gathering companions to help in his battle against the machinations of the Black Battalion. Japanese fans can look forward to this title sometime in December of this year.
